Benthos are a five-piece band from Milan, Italy that resists easy categorisation. Progressive metal, mathcore, post-hardcore, jazz fusion and psychedelia all collide into a sound unmistakably their own.

Their 2021 debut album II (Eclipse Records) introduced Benthos's adventurous and alluring blend of chaotic catharsis, but it's with their 2025 sophomore album From Nothing (InsideOut Music) that the band truly come into their own. From Nothing delivers a bold, genre-defying statement that landed Benthos among Loudwire's Top 11 Prog Metal Albums of 2025, and among the most innovative forces in modern progressive music according to critics worldwide.

On stage, Benthos have proven themselves well beyond home turf. They have played ArcTanGent, RADAR Festival, Euroblast and Midsummer Prog, and supported The Contortionist, Between The Buried And Me, Protest The Hero, VOWER and Haken across Europe. In 2026 they made their UK debut with headline shows and carried a full European and UK summer run through some of the continent's biggest progressive and metal festivals.
